Choosing the right touring accessories

Start with how you travel. If you camp off the vehicle, an awning is usually the first buy, and it needs somewhere to mount. Rhino-Rack Batwing awnings bolt to roof racks or a platform, so check your crossbar spread and roof load rating before you order. A 270 degree wraparound suits longer stays, while the Batwing Compact is lighter and easier to manage solo.

For ute owners, Aeroklas drawers keep tools and recovery gear secure and stop everything sliding around the tub. Drawer systems are vehicle specific, so confirm your make, model and tub or canopy setup first. A tailgate assist is a cheap upgrade that stops the tailgate slamming down, and it is also model specific.

Dash cams are worth doing properly. The Autobacs range runs from Super HD to 4K with wi-fi and GPS, and a hardwired install keeps cables off your dash and enables parking mode. We hardwire them at the workshop so the fuse tap is done safely and nothing interferes with airbag or ADR wiring.

Yes. Awnings mount to crossbars, a platform or a canopy rack, not to the roof itself. Check your rack's load rating and make sure the bar spread suits the awning length before buying.

Can you fit dash cams and other accessories for me?

Yes. We fit everything we sell at our Burwood workshop in Melbourne, including hardwired dash cam installs with parking mode. Book a time when you order and we will have it done same day where possible.
