Choosing Raptor Coating Products
Preparation decides how well any coating performs. Surfaces need to be clean, dry and properly abraded before Raptor goes on, bare metal calls for an etch primer, and slick factory finishes benefit from an adhesion promoter. Good prep takes longer than the coating itself, and it is time well spent.
Pick the kit that matches your project. Black bottle kits are ready to apply, tintable kits can be coloured to suit your vehicle, and the 2K bedliner aerosol suits smaller jobs and touch ups. Add a roller pack if you are applying by hand. If you are weighing up an approach for a tray, canopy or full body, our Burwood team is happy to talk it through.
Raptor Coating FAQs
Do I need a primer before applying Raptor?
It depends on the surface. Bare metal generally needs an etch primer first, and hard or glossy surfaces hold coating better with an adhesion promoter. Tell us what you are coating and we can confirm what your job needs.
What is the difference between black and tintable kits?
Black kits are supplied ready to apply, while tintable kits are designed to be tinted before application so you can match or contrast your vehicle's colour.
Can I apply Raptor myself?
Plenty of owners do. Roller application is the usual DIY route, and careful masking and prep make a real difference to the finish. Call our Burwood team on 03 9808 8966 if you want guidance before you start.
