Next, match the tray to the battery you plan to run. Batteries vary in footprint, height and weight, so compare dimensions before committing, and remember that a heavy battery bouncing over corrugations puts real strain on its mounts. If under bonnet space or heat is tight, mounting the battery in the tub or canopy can be a better path, which changes the hardware you need.
