Factory bash plates are usually light pressed panels designed to manage airflow more than impacts. If your tracks include rock steps, deep ruts or river crossings, upgraded underbody guards give the sump, steering and front end a much better chance of coming home undamaged.

Fitment is the key decision. Underbody guards are built for specific makes, models and build dates, and front end designs change between generations of the same vehicle. Underbody Protection FAQs

Is factory underbody protection enough for off road driving?

For gravel roads and light touring it is usually fine. Once rocks, ruts and harder tracks enter the picture, purpose built guards offer far more resistance to impacts than standard panels.

Will underbody guards affect servicing?

Guards sit between the ground and components your mechanic reaches during a service, so allow for removal and refitting time. Our Burwood team can explain what is involved for your vehicle.

Can Complete 4x4 fit underbody protection?

Yes. We supply and fit TJM underbody guards at our Burwood workshop, and we can bundle them with bars and other protection work in the same visit.
